ORCHARD PARK, NY – The National Football League today announced that the Buffalo Bills are scheduled to host the Washington Redskins for the 2011 Bills Toronto Series game on Sunday, October 30th.
The game is scheduled for 4:05 pm at Rogers Centre. The game will be televised in Canada on Rogers Sportsnet and FOX in the United States.
The ticket on-sale date and ticket prices for the 2011 Bills Toronto Series game will be announced once the work stoppage is resolved and we are assured that the season will be played.
”We, like the fans, are closely monitoring the current situation surrounding the NFL”, said Silvio D’Addario, Vice President of Events at Rogers Centre. “We are hopeful for a quick resolution as we are thrilled with this year’s match-up. We will be ready to host an outstanding day of football and to deliver an exceptional overall game-day experience for the fans at Rogers Centre.”
Fans interested in reserving tickets for the 2011 Bills Toronto Series game should call 416-341-1440 and speak with a Bills Toronto Series customer service representative. A deposit of $25 is required to reserve a ticket. Full refunds will be granted if the game is not played.
Fans who have already purchased 2011 Bills Toronto Series tickets will also receive a full refund if the game is not played.
“This policy was developed due to the uncertainty surrounding the 2011 NFL season. It is similar to the one implemented for our Ralph Wilson Stadium season ticket holders,” said Buffalo Bills Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning Mary Owen. “Our goal for the 2011 Bills Toronto Series is to provide an extraordinary game-day experience at Rogers Centre and continue to build the Bills’ fan base in the Greater Toronto Area.”
For the Washington Redskins, this year’s game will mark their first trip to Toronto and first international regular season game.
